A great event space. The Olympian Ballroom is gorgeous and the theatre is a very unique space as well. The staff is extremely accommodating and easy to work with for events. The food is all done in house and is exceptional! Stop in to check it out and you might be able to try a meatball or a chocolate buckeyes as they usually had samples when I popped in. The location is great, in a desirable end of Downtown Columbus that puts you near hotels and some of the better restaurants in Downtown Columbus (Gay and Pearl St). – Tyler S.

Our wedding was gorgeous, beautiful and elegant. Our wedding coordinator was wonderful and I loved working with her! She was prompt in responses and always tried to be available when I came to town as I was an out of town bride. The Athenaeum was a great choice for our wedding! We went with the Large Theater Room and worked with Gina for most of the process. She was GREAT and very helpful with providing different options to accommodate our last minute changes to the big day. This venue is very unique and perfect for a downtown wedding. Gina and the staff at The Columbus Athenaeum went above and beyond our expectations when we pictured our wedding venue. From the moment we toured, we knew that this was the place for us! We got married in the Priory and our reception was in the Large Theater. The staff was very professional and Gina did an outstanding job making all of my visions come to life with how I wanted our wedding & reception to be. They literally handle everything for you in regards to set up, which makes wedding day stress minimal! Our friends and family can’t stop telling us what an amazing time they had. Everything from the food to the linens was perfect. This is by far the perfect wedding venue because it has multiple rooms depending on your price range and guest count. You can’t go wrong! The food was delicious and above our expectations, we chose the Ruby buffet with a few upgrades to allow more options for guests and it was easier on us to not have to keep track of who wanted which entree! If we had one complaint it was that the night went too quickly! You can’t go wrong with this venue! – Rachel L.

I can’t say enough about the excellent service, outstanding food, the beautiful Small Theatre, and wonderful planners at the Columbus Athenaeum. Gina and Lori were wonderful to work with! Every wedding detail was attended to, including Mark, who helped us collect and load our van with presents at the end of a very long day. Maria, our personal assistant for the reception, was very helpful with any request. Many guests told us that the food was the best wedding food that they had ever tasted! Thanks to everyone at the Athenaeum for making our daughter’s wedding so very special. Don’t look anywhere else for your venue if you’re planning a wedding. – Holly S.

My husband and I got married at the Athenaeum on July 25th 2015. We had our ceremony in the priory room and our reception in the grand ballroom!Danielle was absolutely amazing! She was always available to answer any questions I had and ease my mind of my choices! I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about her! Our guests are still in awe over the food (I’m still getting compliments on the meatball bar & bacon wrapped water chestnuts)!! Our pictures are AMAZING and everyone who has seen them are raving over the beauty of the Priory and Grand Ballroom. The Priory gives you a nice balance of an old church feel. We switched out the black chair covers for Ivory and it really brightened up the room! I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding! Thank you for everything! – Lindsay G.
